Summer 2001 -- I went with a friend of mine to Johnson City and to Fredericksburg. Johnson City - pop over 1200 people -- named for pioneer Johnson family, ancestors of President Lyndon B. Johnson. In the city they have frame structure nearly 100 years old where Lyndon Johnson lived while attending public school. Furnishings include Johnson family household items and period furniture restored to the 1920 era.
